Good Morning, Justin!
Many of us are enjoying a no-work Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day (or at least fewer emails). While you’re soaking up the long weekend, don’t forget the City of Justin Municipal Election is on the horizon—local voices matter, and we’ll share what you need to know.
THE DIGEST

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day — January 19, 2026
Today many of us have the day off, kids are out of school, and local government offices are closed in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It’s a time to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of equality, service, and community—and an opportunity to celebrate the progress we continue to make together.
Looking for meaningful ways to observe the day? Check out ideas from our previous newsletter:

LOCAL BUSINESS

Dr. Hui Zhang at ForestLeaf Dental
ForestLeaf Dental | Justin Tower Plaza
During our meet & greets at Justin Tower Plaza, we had the chance to visit with the team at ForestLeaf Dental and learn more about the heart behind the practice — Dr. Hui Zhang. Dr. Zhang’s path to dentistry was inspired by a personal experience that showed her how powerful patience, clear communication, and genuine care can be. That experience shaped the way she practices today, focusing on transparency, trust, and making sure every patient truly understands their dental health.
Now calling North Texas home, Dr. Zhang lives in the DFW area with her husband, a native Texan, and their two children. She loves exploring local parks, attending community events, and connecting with the families she serves — something that makes her a natural fit for Justin. At ForestLeaf Dental, she personally takes time with each patient, carefully explaining findings and treatment options so there are no surprises and no rushed visits.
ForestLeaf Dental welcomes patients of all ages and offers a comfortable, modern space paired with a true hometown approach to care.

Construction Underway for Southlake’s New Mixed-Use Development
Big changes are coming to Southlake this spring! Trademark Property Co. is starting construction on Shivers Farm, a $120 million, 40-acre mixed-use development at North White Chapel Boulevard and West SH 114. The project will feature 110,000 sq. ft. of retail, 38,000 sq. ft. of office space, 37 single-family lots, and a 3-acre site for hotel or entertainment.
Planned public spaces, tree preservation, and walkable amenities aim to create a vibrant community hub, complementing Southlake Town Square and bringing a much-needed grocery store to the area. Construction and retail leasing are set to happen all at once, with restaurants and home builders eager to get started.
2026 looks set to be a busy year for Trademark, with multiple projects across DFW and beyond.
