America 250: A Historic Milestone

This year marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Across the country, communities are taking time to reflect on America’s history, celebrate its people and stories, and look ahead to the future.

From cultural events and live music to fireworks and family gatherings, North Texas is joining in the celebration in a big way—bringing neighbors together to honor this historic milestone right here at home.

Fireworks Safety & Local Laws Reminder

A quick reminder for our community: fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Justin and most surrounding cities, including Denton, Roanoke, Trophy Club, Flower Mound, Grapevine, Keller, and Southlake.

Even outside city limits, restrictions and burn bans may still apply.

Before using fireworks:

  • Always check county burn bans

  • Never use fireworks in city parks or public property

  • Be mindful of dry conditions and neighbors

  • Clean up debris after use

For many families, the safest and most enjoyable option is attending one of the many professional fireworks shows listed above.

From Your Community

The Fourth of July is more than fireworks—it’s neighbors gathering in parks, kids waving flags, live music in town squares, and communities coming together to celebrate what we all share.

If we missed an event, send it our way—we’d love to include it.

Wishing you a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day from all of us at the Justin Journal.

As always please check times and locations before heading out.
